Problems with my 91 Acura Integra.....any help?

i was running my car against a se-r, half way down my car shut off on me...anyways i thought just flooded because i put diamond shamrock gasoline in my car so i just let it sit for a day or so, any ways it wouldnt start so i check the distributor and my rotor broke...i put a new rotor and cap and now my car wont pass over 3500 rpms, i think some of the points broke off the shaft because i found magnets, my question is...if the points on the shaft were broken and the car started, will this be enough to keep my car from going over 3500 rpm, i could always get a distributor but i wanna know if it could be other big possibilities? because i live in cali and my car is in az, i dont wanna go out there and finding out its also something else, i cant afford to keep going out there, i know there could always be something else thats why i explained my situation because the car was running perfect the day before my situation, but i think debris from the rotor got between the shaft and magnets

i checked the dizzy and i believe when the rotor broke off the shaft a piece was between the shaft and other magnets, i assume me cranking the engine turned the shaft and that broken peice of plastic was playing around the magnets, for example, a blender and marble, the blades being the points(magnets) and the marble being the peice of plastic, eventually the blades are gonna get screwed up, this is the best visual i can give right now, but what i wanna know is if the points were broken, will this cause my rpms to not exceed 3500rpms, i appreciate your help
