is an audi better than a bmw

i am looking at 2003 bmw and audis... i really like bmws but too many people have them now so i want to have opinions about audis

Supra_RZ 11-23-2006 01:45 PM

i would take a 2003 BMW 330ci With the M Package

Only thing Audi has over BMW is Quattro and price. Otherwise BMW all the way

90Tbird 12-07-2006 11:04 PM

well, pick one bmw and one Audi and test drive them both, I am a fan of Audi and was since forever, so i may be a bit bias. I would choose Audi over any bmw or mercedes any day.

90TLAD3 12-07-2006 11:25 PM

audi all the way awd :D

Audi is unique. the way you can shift on the audi, no beemer can come close. It is almost impossible to stall. Quattro system is amazing, which means in on slippery surfaces the beemer would be SUCKIn D***. winter time beemer can suck D*** as well. but you can squezze more juice from the beemer engine since its rear wheel drive, easier accelaration. maintanance wise audi is cheaper. If you get the 2001 S4 in good condition, upgrade the chip. you will be smoking all 3 series beemer, except the m3. To do the m3, you will need to upgrade some more components.

If you lower the audi, you will probably not be too far behind on the corners, especially with the quattro system! bimmer or audi, both are fine german machines!!!

a powerful car with great control......

^^^ Third that..

For practicality all season.. no worries 4wd.

I see a lot of Bimmers.. but not too many Audi's but everyone knows it when they see it.. I like the new Audi R8 and the TT has grown on me

It is 100% personal preference, choose depending on your needs. Comparing audi and bmw is the same as comparing toyota and honda you need to be more specific. Having owned both i can tell you that the interiros in audis are second to none, and i mean none, and the quattro is amazing as anyone will tell you. However performace wise bmw is a lot more of a drivers car in every aspect, and i mean every aspect. Go drive them or even better rent them and see which fits your budget and needs. Whichever you end up choosing its not a bad choice, good luck.

I chose an Audi.

As far as handling, I agree that stock for stock, BMWs are more aggressive. But if you are an enthusiast, you will most likely change your suspension anyways.

In snow, Quattro > xi.
