Why ?

mks09 06-15-2006 02:55 PM

A4 nice choice the 1.8t is very easily tunable, but the parts are expensive when they mess up..If you dont mind around how much are you picking this up for?

My friend have it. He had to visit dealer every 2 to 3 months and its not cheap to fix either. Lots of electronic problem, sensors, window module, u name it he got it. Dont get me wrong its a nice car to drive if everything works. I guess if you really like car that much then take your chance and do your research before you buy it. Goodluck.

Thats actually a good price for that yr and km. You should check the vehicle thoroughly before you buy it there are alot of a4s with electrical and you will have to sell your left nut to pay for the repairs, but if you do regular maintaince on the vehicle and the previous owners before did regular maintaince then you should be aiight.

1.8t are fussy cars, and electrial was always aproblem with Audi since the beginning, but other than that check for shaft play, which you probably won't have since the car has really low miles, drive the car slowly first listening to any noises especially if its quattro, and if you do end up getting it find a good audi/vw parts place like frisco, and a whole other bunch that sell things for decent prices.

I have an Audi A4 and there are some known problems...Personally, I haven't encountered soem these problems I think because I have done my own services and maintenance. I the vehicle is strongly supported online and lots of technical support. Im actually selling mine - black on black 2001.5 quattro 5spd. Let me know if you have any specific questions about an A4.

Man, if you serious enough to buy the car, dont be cheap, go here: ThanhDo Auto -- Tune Up Your Car

pay them around $50( or free of you commit fix your car there next time) they will put your car on their hoist, check all around for oil leak, boot leak, transmission,tire-rod,suspension.... all and all.

Trust me, they are proffesional. I had 3 cars checked there before i decided to buy one of them, the other 2 have oil leak slowly under the engine which may cause by gasket or something, and will cost alot to fix. So thank to him i got a good car.

Hope it help you too

I own one just like yours and if you are good with doing basic repairs yourself then go for it, if not expect to pay good $ for repairs and maintenance.
