The public got a look at the Chevrolet Cruze for the first time today, at the 33rd Bologna Motor Show in Italy. The Cruze WTCC was designed specifically to race in the upcoming 2009 World Touring Car




Championship, the opening round of which will be held in Curitiba, Brazil on the 7th of March in 2009. Manager Motorsport at Chevrolet Europe, Eric Neve, expressed his view that the new racing livery on the Cruze WTCC expresses everything that Chevrolet is: freshness, color, excitement and always out-of-the-box. The decision to reveal the new racing vehicle at the Bologna Motor Show was made primarily as it is “one of the most festive car events in Europe…We could not think of a better place to say goodbye to the Lacetti for the last time and give a warm welcome to the new Cruze WTCC.”, added Eric Neve.
