I got my hopes up, I was scrolling down seeing Camaro picture after Camaro picture then I saw the LS7. But unfortunitly it was in the Z06 and not the Camaro.

paarman97maro 01-15-2006 02:33 PM

Bye Bye bandwidth! hahah

Great pics Caleb... If you want to send me some of those high res pics, let me know how big you can get the .rar file, otherwise, Ill just pick out some.

NoRiceInside 01-15-2006 02:50 PM

.rar? just tell me which ones you want...1st, 2nd, etc...and i can just zip them as one.

archemedes 01-15-2006 04:22 PM

.rar is a cometitor to zip (I prefer zip since the free one doesn't do a hundred pop ups to get me to buy it)

Bernotas05 01-15-2006 04:55 PM

same here then i read somewhere that its gonna have a ls2 which is lame ..they mights as well put a lt1 in it:lolsign:

NoRiceInside 01-15-2006 09:48 PM

whatchu talkin bout? an LS2 walks all over an LT1...unfortunately i know from experience :p

archemedes 01-15-2006 09:59 PM

it's still a 400 hp engine. The LS7 will be a vette thing only because of cost to build, it's hand built, plus the dry sump oiling is not something most customers would understand

RFF 01-15-2006 10:27 PM

Dry sump oiling is used in all LSX engines. BTW I still hate the 5th gen Camaro.

archemedes 01-15-2006 10:49 PM

the ls1 isn't dry sump, if it was I could drop on in the bravada (if you have a dipstick you have a wetsump)

NoRiceInside 01-15-2006 10:57 PM

k whats dry sump?. i thought i knew but i dont think i fully understand the different between wet/dry sump.

SOMBirdV6 01-16-2006 12:17 AM

Sadly, Chances of a LS7 in a 5th Gen is very slim. Mainly because it is hand built. Bob Lutz has said they would bump the Z06hp if needed that means GM has something hidden from us. Maybe it could be the new LS3 (6.2L engine) that has been floating around.

camaro94 01-16-2006 12:20 AM

nice pics

dry sump is what the race cars have, the oil is all held in a seperate tank, and the oil pump is belt driven, there is never oil in the pan, wet sump is your traditional style. Dry sump cools the oil, and you don't have the problems of g forces like a wet sump (packaging is easier with dry sump also since the pan is smaller) I'm working on being a dealer for dry sump systems

yeah, rar files will actually be smaller in most cases. What winrar did you get that gives you popups, and why would you need to buy it?

If you want to get it Caleb, go to www.download.com and look for winrar.. should be like 3.42 or somthing

ill look through them later, just got home a little bit ago.

Only the LS7

DDxHellRaiser 01-16-2006 07:27 PM

I only have two comments about the new camaro.

1. The red HAS to go, its so over done and makes the car look dull.

2. What is with the front grill???!?! they made it look like the car jumped out of a cartoon by the way its "smiling".

I still want one but only in metallic silver/black or midnight blue w/ differnt crome rims...

Oh, and LOOOL @ the mini Cooper...pfft.:booty:
