Another Sneak Peak ! Mo install ....

One of these days I will stop putting parts on the car and actually drive it..
I'm getting ready to install the Dyna-Spark opti and the Delteq billet opti cover that I had chromed. Also, I started replacing the stock Delteq coils with the MSD red coil and interface modules. Hopefully this weekend I will get it finished.
So much to do and so little time......

I don't have all the little wiring finished yet, but I'm close. It will look more sanitary by this weekend :grumble: I will have more pics of the setup when I'm finished.

I also started cleaning up the front drivers side of the engine, removed the air pump and blocked-off and wire tied all the little stuff out of the way. I really like the look of an LT1 once you get the crap out of the way :)

Amazing as always :)

Sinister95Z 03-09-2006 04:49 AM

Is the trim you have on the valve covers still available??

Mike Jones 03-09-2006 09:45 AM

When are you taking it to car shows?

96SilverRam 03-09-2006 10:17 AM

Trim is no longer available from MBA or Thunder Racing as far as I know. I will be taking it to shows all summer long.....:D

Bernotas05 03-09-2006 12:06 PM

looks good.

FORCE_FED_Z 03-09-2006 04:04 PM

Looks nice..but-

Just out of curiosity..why did you have a cover chromed that no-one will ever see at a car show unless they take about an hour to get to it? Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashin you, just tryin to see what your reasoning was...

NoRiceInside 03-09-2006 04:21 PM

well hes the kinda person that does stuff so that he can say hes done it. its like...dude! i got my rod cap bolts chromed!!!! no one will ever see them...but he can say theyve been done.

wait...you havent chromed your rod cap bolts have you ?!

96SilverRam 03-09-2006 04:39 PM

Actually, it does not have anything to do with what other people know I have on or off the car. I just like doing little trick stuff and most of you guys can appreciate the attention to detail. :p:)

ForceFedZ, to answer your question on why I would chrome the Delteq cover. Two reasons: one the cover will never require me to polish it to keep it looking good, second the cover actually will be seen now that I have removed all the crap out in front of the drivers side head/block. It may not be noticeable in the pics, but you can see everything in the front of the motor now :nana: Thanks for all the compliments on the hard work.....

NoRiceInside 03-09-2006 05:16 PM

well unless you removed your water pump and balancer its still hard to see though. still awesome.

97z2801ss 03-09-2006 05:33 PM

awesome man just plain awesome

for a car that never gets driven hehe

V6Cam 03-09-2006 06:24 PM

That would be killer..we'd have fun with it

FORCE_FED_Z 03-09-2006 08:32 PM

96- well I would do the same except there is this weird thing in the way on my motor that makes it go fast and makes a nice little 'gear whine' sound to go with it...

I do appreciate all the time and effort, believe me. Esp. with all the time I have put into my car fabricating custom brackets and more 'one-off' type of stuff-but I have to honestly say that if I had your car I would drive it!!

MeenZ28 03-09-2006 10:23 PM

Thats freaking slick! Awsome job bro.

Mental note - keeping engine clean = dont drive car
