meissen 11-12-2005 08:06 PM

RE: pics

Thanks guys, my wife says I'm obsessed with it. But shes my baby.
All original except the CAI, tires, and head unit. Miles are ligit. The white face guages are reverse glow and are either blue or green.
Plans for it include, new suspension for the rear and front; not going to lower it though kind of like the height, rear disc breaks, and a 2.5" cat. back to a Flow Master 80 series or a Magnaflow not sure which yet. Whatever give the best sound. New rims. Don't want Vette rims, I want to do something different but not ricey.
New hood, repair or replace the rear and front bumper cover. The rear has a crack in it from the previous owner, and the front, well, the usual stone chips and spider web cracks in the paint. Some Billet dress up for the engine and new wire covers. The teal ones just don't make it stand out. Red, yellow, or blue.
Was thinking of something different for stripes. Take the rear wing off repaint and put it back on and then stripe from the wing at a 45 degree angle to the front and stop at the rear of the doors or there abouts. Maybe repaint the speaker covers, and shifter trim to match the exterior paint. Don't want to go overboard with interior paint. And ground effects kit.
When its paid off it will be stored and the engine pulled, cleaned and new lifters, valves, cam, etc... whatever I can do to it to make it perform a little better as a V6. The engine bay will be cleaned and repainted as well. The under side cleaned and repainted and parts replaced as needed.
A lot to do so it will take some time. Right now its washed every 2 weeks, waxed every 4 months with Maguires classic gold, the engine bay cleaned once a week to keep the dirt down.
I'm a member of the American Camaro Association. www.americancamaro.org
I take it to the show every year and I think I'm the only V6er there. Lots of fun though and great looking cars.

Definitely get Magnaflow, you'll be much happier over Flowmasters. Not only do Flowmasters sound raspy, but they don't flow as well as Magnaflow does. ;) In any case, sounds like you got your work cut oout and a lot of mods planned, good luck and keep us posted!

Sounds like a good plan and I'm with Meissenation on the catback.

As for the rear brakes I'd swap in a rear end from a TA/Z28 to get not only the disk brakes but also the limited slip diff. That's what I did in my V6 Camaro and I highly recomand it. Of course mine came with 3.73 gears which are way to steep for a V6.

RE: pics

I like what you did with your fog lights...was it hard to do?
Not to many colors match teal so I'm not sure what color the stripe will be. I've had my eye on black rims but not sure how it would go with the teal...
Forgot....tint also.
My ProjectCamaro...swaping the rear end, did you just swap out the gears then?

meissen 11-13-2005 12:08 AM

My fogs are part of the entire grill, it's a grill cover I guess you could say. Got it from a fellow board member here, he got it from DG Motorsports. :)
