I think it's because the Z28 is longer, especially with the GFX. The only thing that actually scrapes is the front piece, even if I cut it at a wide angle. Believe me.....I tried every possible way of getting in and out of the driveway without having to take it off.

It's actually because of the way the road is out in front of my house. If the road was flat it wouldn't be a problem, but it angles down a lot from the center lines toward the the curbs. I can pull into a pretty steep driveway at an angle as long as the incoming surface is flat......it's just that the stupid road out in front of my place is really rounded. It's for all the water to run off into the gutters when it rains. :banghead:

I have a bunch of 10 foot 2 x 8's and sheet of plywood that I'm going to use for building a shallow V-shaped ramp out there. That way I can put the front piece back on the car and not have to worry about pulling in and out at an angle. I also want to lower the Vette at least an inch to get rid of some of that wheel gap, so that ramp will also help with that.

If you're referring to my air-dam down in front of the tires, yes that's there for cooling! I don't have any problems with that scraping though. There's no scraping with the Vette what so ever. There's no problem with the air-dam on the Z28 either. The only thing that scrapes on the driveway is the front ground effects on the Camaro.

I take it you're not a big fan of Corvettes? If that's the case, you're definitely the first person I've ever heard of that likes the Camaro but not the Vette.

no, I do not like Corvettes. I prefer Firebirds/Camaros, (and Cudas) to them any day, as does my husband, as does my dad... That's why none of us have ever owned a Vette, we've only owned F-bodies, and some old Mopars. Some Vette's are alright, but the only ones I like at all are C3s, once in a while a C2. Vette's just never did it for me.

I think some sort of aftermarket hood is definitely in the future plans, and yes I did watch that show. They played about 6 episodes in a row and showed quite a bit of really good footage. I'll be watching the Barrett Jackson Auction in January to see how much that thing goes for. I'll bet it tops a million dollars from the highest bidder.

Hey Danielle, that's completly understandable about you disliking Corvettes, but I'm curious about what it is you don't like. I have to assume that you're referring to the looks of them. I mean when it comes to the motors/power and the complete drivetrain/suspension, there's no comparison what-so-ever when it comes to Fbodies. I mean my dream car is still a '67 Pro/Street RS/SS Camaro, but there's a reason that the Corvette has always outpriced, outperformed, outsold the camaro.

I just dislike how they look, alot. Motor/power/etc isn't really relative to my dislike/like cause that can always be changed. What's funny is everyone so suprised now that I don't like Corvettes, but I've been saying that since I first became a member here, lol.
