Home made 7m powered drag car

Last weekend we have tested the dragster with the monster 7MGTE.
We just have tried it with only 12 psi boost and we have made the following times.Video will be posted soon.
60Ft:1.27 Sec
MPH:150 Mph
E.T:9.30 Sec
These times were with 12 psi boost and the clutch slipping a bit from the 3 rd gear to the 5 Th gear.

Wow, whata nice engine, what are the horse power and torque?

SuprAdam 03-03-2005 11:44 PM

Not sure, but a 9 sec ET on only 12psi from such a big turbo....That isnt even in the turbos efficiency range. 40psi is going to be quite impressive. I wonder if it will beat HKS's 7m drag car's 7.91 ET from back in the early 90's

that is an impressive motor.....holy 40 psi with a lil nitrous....thats gonna scream

When I will be on full boost I am going to shift at 8800-9000 rpm.
I have made 9.3 sec shifting at 6900 rpm so I do not harm the engine due to we were testing the car and on factory cam timings.
Now when I post the video you can hear it how smooth she is then it get a bit furios as soon as she hit the launch controll.

There is more money into the block of that car than my mods and the cost of my car combined.
