you'd be surprised it's cheap to make a big block fast (comparitively)a friend of mine just dropped a 455 olds into malibu station wagon bone stock it was beating pretty much anything that would line up (no times since the strip didn't like teh oil slick it left)

alright bottom line, my car is fairly quick, then there are bolt on LT1s/LS1s and sprayed cars, then my dads camaro. the 327 revs to 7 grand like nothing and sounds so nice, but GOD DAMN! that big block was insane. he broke his motor mount and had some trouble getting it to line up, but the few months the 402 was in his car, i went for a few rides and on hot sticky days he could tromp it at 25 and roast them. the one thing i wont ever forget was when he did a holeshot on a main road. just dumped the clutch from a slight rev. he has BF goodrich radial T/A's on it. the nose jumped up so fast, i coudlnt beleive it, and then after it stopped spinnin them, it started to grab and the back end just kinda squatted and the nose got even higher. it was the craziest thing i ever experienced. i like the new generation of performance cars, but when i get the money, ill have a big cam, high compression carbureted big block:D gotta love 'em.
