Just a little taste 2JZ powered S2000!

just a little taste of a 2jz powered s2000 on 9 psi.

Video - This is one sick S2000. This will be the Fastest S2000 ever built. Only boosting 9psi right now on a 2jz motor but will soon be over 30psi once the new rear comes in. Go to www.StwoK.com to contact 50/50 racing.

that 2jz fits in there nice and snug
cant wait to see it on 30psi O_O

I seen this post somewhere else, but insane !! love that I as well cannot wait til they get some serious boost from a 2jz

The car looks so stock even with the 2JZ in it, never knew it would fit so well into an S2000:smilie_da

looks amazing and sounds good too. Allways loved that blowoff valve. But methonal injection? isnt that goin a lil too far? have a feeling something might blow.

BadAssGN 12-31-2006 10:38 AM

I think there is a misconception on the use of methonal injection.

I'll try and explain how it works and what it does.

this is a coolant resivoir converted to contain the alky
http://home.att.net/~alkycontrol/images/overflow2.jpg

we use a Shureflow pump
http://home.att.net/~alkycontrol/images/pump.jpg

the high pressure line from the pump goes to a spray nozzle mounted in the up pipe (going into the throttle body)
http://home.att.net/~alkycontrol/images/nozup.jpg
there are several different controllers for the pump, the Buick guys use a progressive controller with a 3 Bar map sensor.

so you only get alky when your boost reaches your setpoint. I set mine to come on at 12 lbs and being progressive it only gives a small shot of alky, as boost increases so does the alky, cooling the charge from the turbo and effectively raising the octane rating of your fuel. it's like running c-16 on the street.

thats the sickest combination ever.....2jZ and a S2K

brandon6976 12-31-2006 09:47 PM

First I will say thats pretty damn cool.

However am I the only one who is concerned that he says he charges $15,000 to do the swap ?? I know he said that includes the engine and all parts but its a $3,000-$5,000 engine. That means he charges $10,000 in labour and doing small things like engine mounts and wiring?

He said in the video that didn't include the tranny and that they would add a getrag tranny for another 1,500. As well even if it did include a supra tranny you can get the 5 speed for $600 CDN and thats just as strong as the 6 speed. I will grant you that people overcharge for the V16x tranny though.

$1000-1500 for the 2j with r154 or w58 trans.

The price of the V160 though, YIKES! Better off with a built high stall auto.
