Lets see your engine carnage Pics....

This is not my engine but this is what three years of running low 10s and high 9s does to a factory LC2 (Grand National 3.8L turbo block)

Billet steel main caps and ARP Studs were installed but a Girdle may have helped a bit more...

Most I've done is blown head gaskets and spun a rod bearing....

What kind of damage have you guys done??

None........ I know how to tune a motor :cheeky4: , now tranny's and axels is another story.

B6T 03-11-2006 04:32 PM

How much power was that guy making with that 3.8L? What did he do to blow it up? I wonder if that engine would have blown if it were a inline six.... hmmmmm....

BadAssGN 03-11-2006 06:04 PM

Based on an average weight of 3600 lbs (most GN's weigh this)
Using the ET method, I come up with 714 horsepower
Using the Speed method, I come up with 658 horsepower

Now after 3 years and hundreds of passes mostly 10.4 range with his best at 9.99 I'd say it held up fine...

at that horsepower it's not a matter of IF it blows up but When.... :fing02:

Hopefully with mine in the mid 11 - low 12 range I wont drive over my crank anytime soon

VW 2L 16v turbo. Made 1027 crank hp and was spun to 10k rpm before the block split in half
