it cost me 1060 for the paint, then they did some body work so the total was 1239.80. the second job was much better. the only things wrong are a small run on the front of the hood and some small pitting on the bumper. also, the spider cracks are STILL showing through. very hard to see, but still there. and there a lot of orange peel. and with black, you notice.
its definitely better overall, and they did a good job cuz it looks sweet, but i no longer recommend maaco. it was their best job they offer so it looks good, it was just the quality of the service of this particular maaco that sucked.
i now know that for a few hundred more i coulda got a new paint job with color sanding and it woulda been done right the first time. i kept saying that with carmen, it looked good the second time, but there shouldnt have been a second time.
im going to write a letter to corporate maaco and explain what happened. i mentioned to the shop manager when i brought it back the second time that the nose emblem was missing and the rear tail lights and center section have blemishes on them that werent there before. i get the car back and nothing was done about those pieces. im going to try and get corporate maaco to buy me some new ones, and im going to explain what a headache it was and that after 2 tries, the spider cracks are still in the bumper. im going to try and get some of my money back. especially the $175 they charged me for the extra prep work to eliminate the spider cracks and theyre STILL there.

ok despite that sounding really negative, im still thrilled to have it back. it looks great and now i can finally get back to performance mods without worrying about spray painted and cracked body parts.

looks good dude, and yea i got my last car painted at maaco and they did a HORRIBLE job, would never recomend them to anyone, they look like the did a much better job on urs then they did on mine but u said they still had problems, but looks awsome dude
