Myth about fuel additives

This video should put all doubts to rest, check out what fuel additives do to you car as far as power delivery.

Good vid, no surprises there for me the only fuel additives to use is SeaFoam which is a petroleum based cleaner great for removing deposits from fuel tank and motor, and a basic octane buster if you're going to be fluctuating alltitudes heavily. Everything else is just a scam.

Good post

I feel that was a poorly conducted test, with higher octane you will need a different burn, so to get more power out of the extra octane you will need to advance timing! The higher octane will allow for more timing, thus make more power!

Now try those on a boosted car, the extra octane will allow more boost, again making more power. I know a couple of Talons that use the NOS octane booster, and I assure you that their datalogs look like they're on race gas. Running 30psi with 12:1AFRs on sunoco94 with no detonation! Try that on straight pump gas.
