so i havnt posted on here in a while, but anyways, i just had a 350 dropped into my iroc-z so i figure id show you all. since i want the car streetable, and im in california(land of the never ending smog laws), i went and just got the 350 long block and swapped the top of the old 305 onto the new 350. since im a college student, (away from home), and the 3rd car garage at my house is filled with my dads music stuff, i have no room to do an engine swap so i had a shop here in vallejo do it for 4 grand, and they threw in some extra new parts too.
the iroc has been a little chewed up paint wise since i clipped my ex-gfs basketball hoop ifront of her house, and the towing company chipped part of the front of my car. (thank the lord i had a very cheep 500 dollar paint job). the 305 was trashed after the number one cylinder blew a rod and the whole thing wasnt worth fixing, so it was the perfect time to drop a long block 350 in. btw, the 305 lasted around 160,000 some odd miles, so its due i guess. (now i have to change the decals under the hood that say 5.0 liter. =p |
nice dude. car still looks good to me.
DNA383(no longer really on the site) had a 350 Iroc that we beleive was an original 305 car with a 305 topend and rebuilt 350 shortblock, and that car went pretty good. with just a flowmaster catback he was pulling low 15 e/ts. |

[QUOTE=ProjectCamaro;223910]Exactly what I was thinking, unless you'd rather keep people guessing.[/QUOT
appearantly the car cover i put over the car while it sat in my driveway turned it kinda yellowish, so, i decided to just get rid of it. it looked cool, but the discoloration was a bit too much to be worth keeping. the yellowish discoloration might have been a combonation of the car cover and the sun. (i got the car cover from my neighbor who used to own a scrappy white 3rd gen. |
