new window tint

i got the mirror ripped off and new 5% black put on all around. the mirror was cooler when the car was all white, or if it was silver but with my black/white theme, the limo tint caps it off. heres some quick pics...

Phate 11-20-2006 09:49 PM

You'll love 5% at night backing up, and the cops will pester you for it. But it looks good ;)

the mirro was actually around 5% or maybe 10%. it was really dark tho, so inside wise, theres not much difference, just a different outside color. cost me 170 to get it pulled off and new put on. woulda been 120 if i didnt have the mirro crap on still, but it was worth every penny and more. he did an awesome job in about 2.5 hours and had no problems with the defroster, and also did the rear glass in 1 sheet of tint.

blue89vert 11-20-2006 10:31 PM

that looks killer matt! good luck not getting pulled over for that one

paarman97maro 11-20-2006 10:34 PM

yeah good tinters can do the rear in one sheet.

If i lived in california/ somewhere Extremely Hot, id have to get tint like that, to keep the heat out.. And my windows would be down when i was driving, Unless it was raining..

So keep the windows Down while you drive, and you'll be all set.

BTW i was pulled over 3 times with the mirror tint, always rollled them down and never had a problem. i usually have them down in summer and down when its warm enough in winter.lol

Mikerock 11-20-2006 10:52 PM

yeah it deffinatly looks better. I can't do anything that dark, only because i can't see a damn thing in the dark as it is.

paarman97maro 11-20-2006 11:50 PM

remember not to roll them down for like 2 weeks at least (dunno if he told you that) you take a chance of peeling the tint right off..

But yeah I roll mine down too when I go past cops.
