GN's are badass, they were the fastest production car for that year.

spanked 07-11-2006 08:01 PM

They're still one of the best street cars. No wheel spin through the intersection, and then BOOOST. They still own the streets.

Maybe you need to see a Rouge Vette vid. He owns Vipers, and pretty much anything else. I beleive, 89 Vette chassis, with 91 Vette body, and GN engine and tranny.

Yes the Rouge Vette is impressive. I never said I didnt like the GN I just said that if the Viper was driven properly he would not have lost to the GN in that vid.:retard:

I would never put money on a Viper to walk a GN.

There's the problem with GN's and GNX's now. IF you can find one, you pay an arm and leg for it. Or, you can do what R/T Kota did, and convert a 5l regal, over to 3.8l turbo.

And you can own mine for under 5 grand.

I drove by a dealer the other day and saw a GN in the lot.
I pulled in to have a look and even though it was a low mile car, it was a bit on the rough side and needed paint.
I asked how much and was told $19,000
I got in my truck and left.
The GNX version is a rare car with only 547 ever built.
They were faster than a GN but not by a whole lot. They are for the colectors now and out of the reach of the average guy.
I would have much rather bought Bill Andersons 7 second GN a couple of years ago instead of a GNX at almost $100,000.
Bills car sold for somthing like $47,000 and worth every penny.
