Looks good man! TurbO? more specs?

87 Grand National turbocharger with about 23,000 miles on it, polished housing, with a custom intercooler and piping setup. I'm just finishing the piping right now, and it'll get the FMU tuned before I bring'r out in the spring.
Planning on starting at 6 psi, then tuning, then upping the boost until I get it to 10 psi, which is where it will stay. |
 welcome and nice car

Nice lookin Camaro. Welcome to PC!

nice ride... love the GN internals... cant wait for track times!

Based off what others have acheived with a similar kit, 10 psi should yield roughly 330 RWHP, and 360-370 ft-lbs of torque.
Before everyone looks at me and thinks "Wait a second, that's not a whole lot", I should remind everyone that it is a 3800 Series II V6. :) And many people have gotten better numbers than that, but I'm setting my sights a little lower, just so I'll be happier when I do get my results. I won't be able to dyno it for a while longer. Right now I need to complete the piping for the exhaust side of things (from the downpipe to the I-pipe), and get that **** IAT sensor in the piping. Then in the spring when the snow is gone, I can use the laptop to get the FMU adjusted, then drive her to the dyno and do a little more tuning to get my final numbers. |
dude thats awesome.i saw a shelby cobra with a GN motor in it and it hauled ***.lol. its cool that you did a swap like that. welcome and good luck.
