The HARTGE H50 V10

The first thing that strikes you is the two-tone paint work, the special air-outlets on the bonnet and wings, as well as the HARTGE front-spoiler lip and the HARTGE rear spoiler. The 3 series BMW from the Saarland – to be more exact, the HARTGE
H50 V10 – is a masterwork in many ways and not all of them visual. In particular, the HARTGE engineers and mechanics have achieved something very special under the thermodynamically optimised bonnet. Fitted with a modified M5 V10 engine, a
7-speed SMG gear box and the HARTGE modification to raise maximum speed from the electronically limited 250 km/h to 320 km/h, the H50 V10 puts all its power – 550 bhp and torque of 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) – onto the tarmac via a reinforced rear axle and a special suspension setup that is adjustable in terms of both rebound and compression. Also new and made especially for the HARTGE H50 V10, is the stainless steel exhaust system, which turns the V10 sound into an acoustic delight. Customers can choose between two dual round (or oval) tail pipes. The wheel / tyre combination consists of 9 x 20 offset 40 at the front and 10 x 20 offset 40 at the back fitted with 245/30 ZR 20 and 285/25 ZR 20 Continental tyres respectively.

Last but not least: the HARTGE H50 V10 interior:

Particularly striking are, besides the 330 km/h speedometer, the carbon interior trim, the 3-spoke leather steering wheel with carbon inserts, the illuminated leather / aluminium gear knob and the leather / aluminium handbrake cover.

With the H50 V10, HARTGE is continuing its long tradition of making wolves in sheep's clothing for individualists who attach importance to understatement:

HARTGE – the elegant way to drive fast.

The H50 V10 is based on the BMW 3 series saloon (E90). A comparable conversion is currently being developed for the Touring (E91) and Coupé (E92).

Read about that in magazine, that is just Sick! Think of the FUN!

Tomek6 01-20-2006 06:58 PM

Yeah Ive seen this before too. Hartge is crazy they always put the M5 motors in everything. A 5 litre V10 in a small car like that it must fly. Wonder how the handling is affected.

:lala: sexyt

GLI 01-22-2006 04:31 PM

seen it long before

Red Liner 01-22-2006 04:41 PM

i loved the previous gen H50....the M3 with the M5 engine....thing sounded like a BEAST!!!

oh, if i ever had the money........

ricernoob 01-22-2006 04:50 PM

Hartge has a bad habit of doing things like that!! Last time I remember they stuffed a M5 V8 in a Z4 and gave it a sexy hard top. Anyone remember that? It was white and orange. Did a 0-60 is less than 4.8...

Tomek6 01-22-2006 10:20 PM

Yeah. It had the same paint scheme as the oldschool red/white vettes. I didn't like the paintjob too much but can't say no to the V8. They also put the old M5 V8 into an X5 and the 3.3 M3 engine into the 316ti, thats the short lil 3 series that was only available in europe.

ricernoob 01-23-2006 05:11 AM

Yea, that's the one I'm talking about. All in all, if you think about it, that Z4 could be The Ultimate Car! Cos the Z4 is sexy as it is, but we all know it lacks the serious punch...and since that's addressed, WAALa!!!!

Tomek6 01-23-2006 12:08 PM

Yeah. BMW is coming out with the Z4 ///M now. Not as good as the hartge model but it will have i believe the M3 CSL engine in it. If not then regular M3 engine but either one is good.

Red Liner 01-23-2006 03:36 PM

the M3 CLS engine is same as stock M3, slightly tweaked...

the CLS gets its upgrades from lightweight stuff and upgraded suspension....powerplant is basically the same...

and we did get the short 3 Series here...the 318ti

Tomek6 01-23-2006 03:48 PM

Basically the same. But when I meant CSL engine. I meant that it would be slightly tweaked version. So the 360hp one not the 333hp one. For those ppl who don't care enough about BMW's to look into details. And we got the e36 318ti. But NOT the E46 316ti I was talking about.

B6T 01-23-2006 05:55 PM

Am I the only one that thinks the Z4 is hideous and looks 10 times worse then the Z3?

Red Liner 01-23-2006 11:36 PM

negative on that Fred....i concur....

LOL, yeah, the Z4 looks a lot worse than the Z3...in fact i think overall the previous generation of BMW's were ALL better looking

the new BMW's look too much like fish

dredge 01-24-2006 06:35 AM

I'm a big BMW fan... but I don't like that. Oh well.

I wonder if they'd do one in a stock 318ti body for me? Heh.
