thanks!

i want to lower the rear about another 1/4 inch to even it out, and then a spacer in the front to just tuck the wheels in, my only worry is with the spacer it'd start to rub, i guess ill see

as for more pics, wait until i get a chance to clean up the mess winter left on her paint

rabbitman 04-16-2008 04:19 PM

You'll be better off without the spacers, I used to use spacers on my VW's. When lowered, at least as far as yours is, they rubbed. :smilie_d0 Hard on tires.

yeah... there's people in the states running turbos that can get closer to 300+, but at that point its kinda difficult to be a daily driver... and i drive this every day, sun or snow  as it stands now though i have no problem keeping up with little 911s and 350Zs on the track

thanks for the kind words all, its been 4 and a half years of hard work but its almost exactly where i want it

Midnight Racer 04-17-2008 11:43 PM

Looks relly good! Been thinkin 'bout a Mini Cooper S for a long time now, they look really sweet and as you say, are like gocarts on the track.

judgez24 04-22-2008 04:54 PM

thats not bad, those things handle nice and have a nice close geared tranny aswell. ive driven one, i wish they had a bit more pep but other than that i like everything about them. how strong is the drivetrain in those things?

kyriian 04-22-2008 06:22 PM

stock clutch can handle about 200 lb/ft torque before falling apart, but the tranny itself does last... a friend of mine had the same year... he's over 200k on it now without problems

that said, they are not trouble free cars, ive seen far too many with small problems... tis the life of a BMW... with a crappy chrysler engine

VindiCated 04-23-2008 12:59 AM
