The start of something ! Pics :)

Well, I have been dreading taking apart the front end of my car so I could do some custom work on some projects in the front. I've also been trying to figure out the in-famous 93-97 LT1 firebird/transam/ws6 headlight shake that a bunch of people seem to have with these cars. I actually took the entire nose off the car to be able to really work on some items and figure out exactly what is causing a headlight to shake ( I could not believe how easy the entire front of these cars are to take apart. I had it off the car in 45 minutes). I think I have narrowed down all of the problems that can cause the assembly to make the light shake on pop-up cars. I now have both of my lights rock-solid with virtually no-play in the whole system. I will post some of the details in the next week or two so other people can benefit from my attempts to fix this long standing problem ! I have also completely cleaned / re-loomed / elec. taped / lubricated and di-electric'd all connections, seals, wiring. It looks like the day it rolled off the showroom floor (to bad nobody will see it after I put the nose back on the car). I started wiring the front light assembly to accept an H4 plug so I can do some fun stuff with lighting, stay tuned :) :

Not Jesus.... Mr. Roboto :lolsign: :D You guys crack-me up. I have actually driven the car more in the last 3 weeks than in the previous 3 years. I should have most of the work done in a week or two with custom brackets and other stuff to hold the new lighting package. I wish I could do it sooner, but I'm only working on it during the weekends. :) |
