got my windows tinted, it was my bday gift from my parents, the back window is limo(5%), and the sides are 20%, its so dark in that car, fun tho, i love the look of it. really helps out the red/black color scheme i have goin on.

Looks good!

That looks nice man.. I hope the cops arent a-holes in your area.
|
That looks badass dude! I wish I could go that dark on the back, but I don't think cops would really like it that much.. But around here I have seen alot darker that 30% and they don't get pulled over..(that I know of) So I think I am going to get my retinted to like 20% all around or 20% on the sides and 15% in back.. Who knows..
|
I dont know about your area but in pa anything behind the front side windows can be tinted as dark as you want you can spray paint them if you want, but its illegal here to have you front sides tinted... pretty gay

Looks really good, I can't wait to tint my window's. That's one thing I really miss from my old Camaro.

I love that tint combo, how hard is it to see out at night with that 20%?

20 is easy enough to see out of at night.. I've learned that the type of tint matters. My Camaro has 15 and it's easy to see out of.. I've been in a truck and Mustang with 5 all around and 35 on the front and u could see out fine.. all of them were tinted with the same kind of tint (my Camaro, mustang and truck). My Eclipse on the other hand was tinted before I got it looks to be 20 and although I can see out of it if it's harder than it is with 15 on the Camaro. If u get quality tint imo u can get any percent u want and see out fine. I could care less with the Camaro if the windows are down or up as far as seeing out although the black tape on the top of the back window where the dot matrix is is alittle hard to see through. I'll probably get 50 on the windsheild in the spring because the very light color of the dash shows through way too much right now.

Now get 35% on the front like me and you win my vote.

having the tint helps not only the look, but its not as hot inside the car after school anymore. it sits in the sun but the tint helps. btw, another cool thing is that by having the rear window be 5% and the sides a much lighter 20%, the side windows look darker than they really are. |
I love having a convertible. Tinting the windows is pointless so i save money. Looks good though Jon.

I plan on goin 2.5% on the back and sides on my car, unless they start crackin down again with it around here, i probobly wont care anyway after my car is repainted and everything its only coming out on warm sunny days. its not goin to see any shity weather |
It looks good, but the one thing I've noticed, particularly where I live, is that tint = break ins.
It sounds like a stupid correlation, but I've had friends who have never gotten their cars broken into before put tint on, and the very next week they were picking glass out of their driver seats. I have a stereo, and I have no tint. No one has broken in. Nothing is left in plain view, yet by not having tint, nothing is left to the imagination either. I like the way it looks, but I wouldn't get tint on my car. $200 for the tint, and $200 for my insurance deductible after the break in? I'll save my $400 bucks to go towards new rubber. |
I had 15% all around on my Beretta til I got pulled over. Now it's gone from my front sides since they're supposed to be 72% transparent.
I plan on 15 all around for the Camaro too. It's too damn hot in that car to drive around with the windows up, so it'll just look pretty sitting still and I shouldn't have to worry about tickets. |
