I dunno what the cop was driving, but the guy who he was chasing was ain a Lotus Omega... It was built in conjunction with Opel and Lotus as was the rival to the BMW M5 at the time... It's a twin turbo (twin T25's) 3.6L V6 making 377HP through a 6spd gearbox ala Corvette ZR-1...

Hahaha Yeah, that again, is a pursuit here in Sweden. The cops where probably driving a slightly tuned Volvo V70 2.4T or a Saab 95 2.3T, that's the most common. Whe don't have any real highpower cop cars, but some probably have round 300 hp. The Police won't tell us :( :p

I believe i have read that it wasn't that stock. I think that one has about 400-500 hp. Thats what I think I have read about it. Not sure

There's no way the cop car was tuned, or any of the cars u mentioned... that thing was SLOWWWW... look how long it took to get to 200 km/h. It was like they were driving a VW POLO or something

There quick cars and not alot of people here know about them.
The vid was cool when i seen it along time ago and it would have been cool to see cops face.

The 400-500 hp I meant was in the Lotus Omega not the cop cars.

because of the extra weight the cop cars carry on here (computers and other electronic gear and useful stuff) most cars have gone thru a slight tune of the suspension. But as you mentioned, this car was probably not tuned in the engine. If you've ever driven a Saab 95 2.3T or Volvo V70 2.4T you probably know that they are'nt racing cars. I had a V70 2.4T a year ago and that I maxed a few times and I believe the speed up to 200 is very much alike mine.

And the cop cars with around 300 hp are not that many and they serve mostly as highwaypatrol.
