Motor is completely done. So that answered the rebuild question.

Cheers.

Damn, that is serious destruction.
Whats a legit s2000 motor go for these days ?

RYC3 01-13-2007 03:35 AM

:smilie_d0 damn that really sucks

crazyae 01-13-2007 11:32 AM

with extensive work that head could be saved, but not unless you are extremely desperate. I can see even the valve guide is cracked. :smilie_d0 Looks like someone is buying a new motor or source a head and rebuild. Sometimes you can look at things like this as an oppurtunity to rebuild with some internals.
Too bad for that s2 owner!

Where was this s2000 towed in?

Wow that's one mess up valve....

pg29 01-15-2007 05:43 PM

how did a misshift cause that damage, looks more like the timing chain/belt broke and the piston K-Oed the valves lol.

dj_jake 01-15-2007 06:07 PM

the guy was probably at the top of 3rd, about to bang 4th and clicked off 2nd by accident. dont know the gearing, but that could be instant 15 to 20k, which would drop valves and make sweet love to the piston

Holy Man

Gonads 01-17-2007 05:35 PM

WOW. What destruction. That's a hit in the wallet if I'd ever seen one. Hopefully everything goes well and that car is back on the road without too much hassle.

Yeah ok, there is gonna be hassle. Sorry to see that. Ouch :dunno:
