I dont really understand why theyd bother to make a production car that fast.
cost aside, who needs that much power? when people like some on here, who like to street race occasionally, (not sayin thats me, im such a newb anyway, id lose, so its pointless...) will get pulled over by the cops, just caus our cars are modified to go faster. and not even close to what that thing can do im sure.
considering the speed limits as well, unless, they dont have speed limits where they are...so driving the speed limit, would be just a fraction of what it can do, anything more, would just be illegal, and would that not be in the same class as street racing, or i guess just speeding anyway. Tell me whos gona have a car with that much power, and not want to open it up?

I do nopt see the point in saying it is the "fastest production car" when it not yet have been proved.

Koenigsegg CCX is still the official with it's 236.6 mph since it's made on Nardo which is a closed circuit and Bugatti Veyron made it's record in a straight line according to the books.

But it's a great work of machiner but with a wing of that size, no wonder it spins in 190 on 6th.

actually the Bugatti Veyron hit 407km/h at the Volkswagen test track, and now holds the record for fastest production car:smilie_da

Yes they did, but that is not official since it was not under the circumstances of how a record is supposed to be set. With people from the outside.

However, 407 km/h is Fast as F-ck!
