That was chicago and thats just the way it was there. I had video footage from there and those guys are nuts.
The 69 chevelle was the one that lost traction and cliped the back of the malibu sending it in to a spin.
The stock 4 link suspension on those cars are very good for drag racing with very little mods. Those cars have touched the 8 second mark with nothing more than boxed in trailing arms and drag shocks. Way better than any front wheel drive car out there. They do not belong in a junk yard.
And dont worry. us guys with cars like that hate yuor little tin can under powered crap riping up and down the street as if you were in a cross country race. Matbe thats not you, but thats what we see all the time.

Who cares about import info. The is slow and the scene is dying. What really matters is that your car is slower than mine. If your junk cant 60 FT under 2 seconds you suck.

That vid coulda used better camera techniques .But I still liked it . If the two cars hadnt crashed posters would be like oh man that was cool . Cops are all over posting on tsr . Showing up at meets. I asked some guys in the states one time about cops and they said " cops dont bother us to much, cause if they do, they get aphone call from the playground where there kids are playing . After you describe the kids clothing too them , they get the hint". That was my cue to GTFOT and fast .
Compare this vid to the opening scene from 2 lane black top ....( thats a movie about street racing)..And you,ll see some definite similarities . I,ve seen some races in states where car and driver showed up with like 20 guys , just incase some was gonna happen.
