took me about 2 seconds on teh first pic not a bad setup did you get that on clearance? (that looks like the one that they discontinued the new one is a little different shape I think)

SOMBirdV6 06-01-2005 11:32 PM

Bernotas05 06-01-2005 11:39 PM

camaro94 06-02-2005 12:19 AM

nice, and it was very easy to spot the antenna...

NCamaro94 06-02-2005 12:46 AM

no i got this a long time ago, way before skyfi 2 came out. but i thought that was the best place for the antenna you'd never see it unless you are standing close to it. and space below the radio in the 93-96 dash was a perfect fit, just mounted it with some super heavy duty double sided tape, and it is not moving a milimeter lol. Signal is great, i only lose it under some bridges. a lot better programming that FM, more stuff to choose from and now you get free xm online if you have a xm radio account for your car. we currently have it in 2 cars, but 3 soon. we are also planning to put it on our boat. we've been happy with the service. so i recommend it to anyone.

Just can't quite justify paying monthly for radio of any kind. Sorry.

awesome, once i finish up my system inside then i won't use it much. i'll pretty just go to all cd's. xm is better quality than fm, but still not cd quality. but then again its a huge playlists with a lot of different programming so i'll def. switch between the two, especially if i'm on a longer drive.

archemedes 06-02-2005 02:28 AM

yeah it wpould be great for a truck driver or something like that I am still thinking of it (hoping to get a dealer account if they do like the tv companies do it's free for dealers)

NCamaro94 06-02-2005 02:34 AM

i make an hour drive uptown every tuesday and an hour drive at least 1 sat. a month. then i cruise around a lot with my friends around town. i'm kind of lazy too, when my cd's get old i don't bother getting a new one lol. it is just so much easier to push a button. but like i said, once i get my system done i'll be more motivated to have plenty of cd's handy.

archemedes 06-02-2005 02:35 AM

I listen to a cd until I can't stand it then listen to teh radio for a while, the real question is do they repaet the same songs every few hours?

NoRiceInside 06-02-2005 02:38 AM

oh my friends camaro (debonair23) he has the xm antenna mounted right on the dash where it meets the windshield, and since the windshield is so shallow it gets great reception.

not unless you listen to the top 20 on 20 channel then its the same 20 songs really just shuffled around. but its neat in a way, you vote for the songs online.
