Oh my god... are you serious?

Please stop thinking about TEXTBOOK cases....

What you think should be done isn't right, not in the least. 330 HP in the top of the line 3 series is more then enough... especially since the next generation M3 is going to have "only" 400 HP with it's new V8... So think about it... why would they offer a normal 3 series with 380 HP and an M3 with only 20 HP more??

What other engines does BMW have to fill the gap? The 330i (the new one)makes 255 HP... the 335i with 330 HP is a substantial increase to that.

the 3L is going to be used through out their line up... so why would they make a bigger engine? the 325i is going to be a 3L, the 330i is going to be a 3L and now the 335i is going to be a 3L, makes sense to me

why would they bump it up? well ya ya a 3L is enough but if u give it a tad bit more displacement it will make more power and spool turbos faster i dont know if thats bmw's intent (and as you said this is top of the line)..clearly they arent making this car in mind for the tuner market at this point, but a Inline will make power much more efficiently than V block thats why i said it..i dont think they would suffer by giving it an extra .2L of displacement, but that i will leave to BMW engineers

That's why they're using sequential turbos, one for quick spool down low, and the other for top end.

You got to rember the more power a car has the different insurance classes it falls in so the 72 hp is probly enough to keep it in the brackets

wtf Shuller those Numbers done mean . 330hp is pretty healthy for a I6 TT. Just look at prev cars with simular setups. Audi S4, SupraTT, VR-4 all engines with simular displacement putting out around 300-330hp.

And like some1 eles mentioned earlier, if it had any more Hp it would hurt the sales of the M3 b/c they would almost have equal power.

sometime reading this makes me feel sad.

anyways, I really wonder how willing they will sell those cars here? I mean after all, most North American drivers are idiots when comes to taking care of a turbo car, would like to see the reliability when its in hands of typical North American driver.

i can already see the aftermarket potential of that thing. 4 doors, TT, 300+hp...wow. Do you think it will be stiff competition for the STi (i mean performance wise, not price. the STi, i'm guessing, will end up being a lot cheaper)??

i'm really impressed (which, by the way, doesn't happen a lot :retard: )
