Aren't Mini's awesome! Whoever thinks they're a girls car clearly hasn't driven one or just isn't a car guy. My wife had an 02 Cooper. That thing was an absolute blast, almost as much fun as the Z3 is!

Mini's arn't that great to work on , just to change one O2 sensor u have to remove a whole bunch of just to change one little thing. + their not that great for that amount of money that u pay. But they do have great handling that for sure.

well when i was looking at cars... i had a few others...

miata: GREAT, but interior a bit lacking
WRX: again, interior absolutely horrid, and HATED turbo lag after 5 minutes of test drive
Celica: decent handling, but slow off the line.. im not living life at 7k every bloody day
GTI: 1.8T was okay, but lots of reliability issues turned me off

minis are not designed for straight line if that's what you mean of 'working on', and fyi, my bone stock MCS came out about 35000 after taxes and everything.. compared to the WRX i specced which came to close to 40,000, the celica came close to 42,000, and the GTi wich is about the same price... i chose the mini for handling, not straight line power... and i never regretted it...

if u plan on working on the car ( meaning taking parts off of it or adding parts ) , then u will see what a bitch it is jus to change one little thing

strange of u to say that... cuze ive already had the oppertunity to....ALot ALOT and its not bad... there are a few things here and there that's a bit more difficult... but not too bad (intake came off in about 10 minutes with my skills), brake pads came off in about the same timeframe... so unless youve taken things off of it before i cant see why u think its difficult.. its not much more than any other car... afterall, the engine is the same as the one used on the euro spec neon (lift the sticker on the valve cover to reveal the words 'chrysler 1.6L'! :lmao:
