OEM Rims Winter Tires from E46 to E36?

Hi everyone,

Need a quick question answered. Just purchase a 2001 BMW 330 CiC convertible with hard top. I am flying down next weekend to St Charles Missouri to pick it up and driving it back. My question is that I been looking around for a good deal on a set of winter tires and finaly found one, but the only thing is that the tires are the right one for this car, but the rims came of a E36. Was wondering if a rim of a E36 will fit my E46? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Robert

In general, yes, as they share the same bolt pattern and offset. However for 330 you need at least 17" wheels to clear the brake calipers.

In general, E46 rims look good on E36, but not the other way around. If your rims are aftermarket rims like BBS then it's another story.
