Just login in http://www.maxbimmer.com and go to "your" section: 3, 5 or 7 seriece, and just look at few pages of thread and you'll find some specific website dedicated towards "your" model. something like, e30power.com .. or something similar)

Bimmerforums.com and bimmerfest.com are the most informative BMW froums you're going to find. If you're looking to learn about mechanicals they're good. Maxbimmer, while good guys generaly don't know a lot about the mechanicals of the cars.
