Rear door stopped locking and unlocking automatically, where others do...
what could be the problem, some say its because of the weather and inside frozen??

Yes it could be frozen the best way to find out is put it in the garage over night and let things thaw out . Does this door lock & unlock with its own switch?Most of the time in the older cars which is all i drive if a door starts acting up like this there's usually a broken wire in the rubber sleeve between the chassis & the door .
