TA 33 problem
I have recently rebuilt my 1984 Grand National and am having problem with a $1000 rebuilt turbo.
Hosie and Brown in Ottawa sent it to some firm in Toronto and it is leaking oil past the compressor. The firm in Toronto checked it a second time and says they have done their best - whatever that means! The $1000 is up in smoke - literally - 1.25 litres every 900 kms. A machine shop in town says they simply send Garrett turbos back to them for repair. I went on to the Garrett web site and don't see how to get in touch with them. I have a spare turbo and wish to have Garrett work on it. They don't even list the TA 33 on their site as far as I can see. Anyone have the particulars on reaching Garrett. |
