Amp wount turn on..?

OK

so i just finished installing my deck, amp and subs into my Golf.

when i turn the car on, the amp doesnt turn on with it so it doesnt power the subs. when i put a wire on the amp from the battery to the lead; the amp turns on and works perfect. im thinking theres a electrical error somewhere along the line from the deck to amp. im thinking of just connecting the 2 together with a small wire, and wireing a switch up by my dash so i can turn it off when the cars off.

any ideas why the amp wount turn on with the car?

What does battery to the trigger mean? I'm afraid to ask to be honest..

Most likely you have not connected the amp to the deck via the lead wire.

sorry, im new to all this

the lead wire is what im talking about i think.. it is connected to my deck, and the amp, there is no reason why it wouldnt work

wire from your dect to the amp is the remote wire which will tell your amp when to turn on and off or your RCA wires which is the audio signal from the deck to the amp then amp to subs.
if you arent using a aftermarket deck and you dont have a remote wire output on your deck you "can" connect the remote wire to the fuse that poweres your deck, not the best idea but it works and i am not recomending it as i am not sure if it can catch fire or not but i have seen it done.

hmm... have you tried replacing the wire from the deck to the amp?

if so, and it didn't work, then bro, you might have a prob with the deck it self... some decks need to be enabled in order to power up the remote amp. Mine for example, I had to go into the deck settings and enable sub out, once sub out was enabled, my amp worked just fine.... let me know

i'm pretty sure it sound like remote wire problem but i'd double check everything to make sure your power and ground have a good contact. a bad ground can cause the same problem also check all fuses to make sure that they are all in good shape. if your in the toronto area pm me and i can come have a look for a small amount.
