I LOVE MY CAR ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!:eleph: :hyper: :eleph:

Well I just finished taking and loading a Butt-Load of pictures so that you guys can see my New Sounds! All I can say about the way it sounds is:........HOLY SH*T...:hardrock: :hardrock: :hardrock:

The biggest mistake I made though was forgetting to bring my CD case with me when I picked up my car. I had to remove all my valubles when I dropped off my car yesterday so the only CD there was to listen to, was the one I left in the old deck......KORN - Greatest Hits. That's ok though, the first track remake they did of "Word Up" might be a lame song......but it has One Hell of a Bass Riff. Then track 3... "Y'all want a single".....when the Bass hit, every hair on my head was vibrating. Driving home, my vision was all blurry so I had to turn it down......but then I just turned it back up and said: Get the hell out of my way.:lolsign:

Anywho,......Enough Talking.....lets see some "PICTURES"!

Thanks.....It's called a Probox. The local stereo shop that installed all my stuff carries them, that one cost me $190.00 ~ It's covered with that stuff that's like Rhino Lining. You know....that stuff in truck beds.
Click on this Website:www.Proboxrocks.com/chevy/93upcamaro.shtml
It's the one on the bottom of this page. That deep well is actually hollow. It says 1.10 cu. ft. of airspace, but that's per side. It's actually 2.20 combined.

If you're just looking for a similar box.....Check out: www.subthump.com
Once you're in there, click on "installs"......that will show you all the different boxes that they do.

Thanks you guys......I know it's no competition set up, and that's ok.....I'm not looking to try and out-do anybody else. I just wanted to put something in there that looks decent and bangs pretty good. I feel as though I accomplished my goal, but now have to go darker with the tint in the rear. Those Da*m chrome amps have so much glare on them, that they shine right through the back window. And then there's the reflection in the rear-view mirror. Check it out................:banghead:

Makes me want to buy one of them subthump boxes even more.

Just don't get one of the T-top boxes. They don't work like they claim and you'll risk messing up your tops. The non t-top boxes look good though. The thing I like about the Probox is that it has that hard rigid Rhino Lining type material, so it's much more durable.

Yea thats what i plan on doin, i never really put my t-tops in the hatch anyway unless im goin somewhere i would need to put them back on. I usually just keep them at the house.

Oh Yeah......I have the tops. I just don't use the rear comartment for storing them when they're off. I either leave them at home....or lay down the back seat with a blanket protecting them.

As far as the cost....it was right around the $3000 mark. It would have been about 300 or so less if I had done it myself. Unfortunately my back is so screwed up from all the accidents I've been in, there are certain things I'd just rather pay someone else to do. As long as I'm still able to afford it, I figure why not. And, it helps to know someone at a stereo shop so that you get better deals.

Yeah, the people that I've heard talking about them all say that there's really only enough room for one top to fit in the hole without the threat of scratching the glass. I see them for sale quite often after they've just recently bought 'em. They always have the same lame excuse too......"Decided to go with something different".

The one person that I actually talked to about the box basically said: "you can squeeze both of them in there, but if you have any kind of power running back there, I don't recommend having one". That, and they still stick way up out of the hole.

NoRiceInside 03-12-2006 09:41 PM

well since im building my own maybe i can tweak it so they sit at a flatter angle so they dont stick up to high and also make the slot a bit bigger and line it with padding....

BlueZee28 03-15-2006 12:35 PM

i love audiobahn. that's a NICE set up man. i'm gettin' really antsy about getting my custom box made for my Memphis system :(
