best car alarm for under 200 bucks?

does need to have fancy features, just a good old fashioned alarm that is reliable and has a loud ass siren...any recommendations?

My stupid car alarm has been having problems during the winter two years in a row. something about the cold must be making it go off. i vaguely boxster accessories remember the car dealership guy telling me if i had any more problems to just unplug the hood switch, and i was just wondering what exactly that does?

I had actually just got a cheap ass BullDog Talking Alarm Model 2030 from Wally World(Wal-Mart) and i've seen a crap load of good reviews. But for sum reason in my blazer i try to set the sensitivity feature and it wont let me. Its suppose to do as following:
Hold Finder button for 10secs
Dude will say " please adjust sensor now"
then ur suppost to tap your vehicle to the sensitivity that you want
then dude is suppose to say " Thank you"

BUT! he says it all at once " Please adjust sensor now, thank you" and i dont even get to touch my truck. its also set by power loss. so when ur doors are opened your lights drain power and it detects it. Well..... I Arm it while sitting in front of it... and i do nothing max 2mins later it goes off....

Its a simple install onto your inner fender or w.e for ground and run the power wire directly to your battery. it comes with a stupid ass aligator clip which i took off and put a thingy on it and had connected it that way to my battery.. Its acting like while he says please adjust sensor now it detects it as the sensitivity and thats why it says thank you... Im going to move it to a diff spot tomorrow if i can find a spot. if anyone has had a 95 blazer with the aluminum air intake theres no freaking room anywhere under the hood on the inner wheel wells or firewall to mount it. and it needs to be solidly mounted... its solid and tight where i have it now. but its directly under the hood.. So i dont know what to say. I like it cuz its loud u can either have him saying " you are too close to the vehicle please move away" if the vehicles gets brushed by sumone. and if it gets touched again it says " I was tampered with" continously. and the famous Panic button says " please help me" in a womens voice. or u can have the old fashion beeping.. I hope i get it fixed soon cuz sumones been sumhow getting into my vehicle even after i lock it and check the doors... My vent went missing with my blazer lighter leash. but yet my stereo and over 600 tools were not touched.... and i have my spare tire on my roof with a strap and the strap was broken and sumone tried to take it. but musta got spooked or sumthing.

If anyone has had this alarm let me know what you think could be wrong... I'd appreciate it. and for $60 i'd say try it out. its nice and u can always take it back and theres a yr warranty...

my post is the cheapest i know about. even the stupid ciggy lighter one is $60 and if they get into your vehicle they can pull it out and it shuts off.... stupid ass idea...
