thats correct ...... they claim it's one of the best Vehicle Tracking System out their, in a couple of years or so All dealerships will have to install some type of Tracking device on vehicle's worth over $40 000 ( according to some guy who installs these tracking devices)

boomerang is good, but "eksix" said that they already have boomerang scanners out there, which is probably true.

also check out "the witness". you can track the location of your car from any computer

crazyae 01-17-2007 07:05 PM

yeah i heard that boomerang is installed and they don;t even tell you where it is located on the car. I dunno about you, but i would certainly like to know where is it located.

I am not totally sure what they offer, but i would prefer something i can access. What i mean by that is i saw one where you can track your car like where its going, how many kms driven, route taken, and other details that can be beneficial to you for things like gas mileage or if you lend your car to your girlfriend, family memeber, friend whatever :veryhappy. This is done through an interface on your computer.:smilie_da

Ive heard the same, no police report, no location of your stolen car.

I find "the witness" to be a much better unit, it can track via internet or cell phone and you get real time tracking not just a call saying your car is gone, like the boomerang. Check out their webite www.thewitness.net

I thought it was pretty good... tighter than a nun's .......

fahad115 02-13-2007 12:53 PM

where to get a Boomerang from?

gstyle 02-13-2007 03:21 PM

I had the Boomerang 2nd gen installed on one of my cars. It was good. Yes, they do not tell you where the transmitter/battery is located, so that even if you were carjacked, you wouldn't know where it was located. Normally it is behind your glove box :)

It is good, but it does not replace your current alarm system. It is only good if some stole your car, but sucks if someone just decides to break into your car and steal your stereo, amps, etc. Monthly fee was pretty reasonable.

Most american cars out there with the Onstar system is using the same units under a different name.

Auto Sound & Design is where I got it installed. It is in Markham/Unionville area.

just for clarification
there are 2 types of boomerangs.
boomerang
and boomerag 2

the difference is with boomerang 2 if your car is stolen it will be tracked right away, boomerang 1 you need to call the police and tell them your car is stolen and that you have a boomerang system installed.

And if you have speical request you can know where they put the boomerang in your car if you sign some form that the installer has to fax to boomerang stating taht you know where it is.
