it's possible. but i would not come out as good as a real 200 civic. And it will also gonna cost you more than trade your car with a 200 civic. Please think it over. Unless you really mean to have a 96 rear end civic with a 00 front civic.

You have to cut notches on the bumper near where the grille meets the headlights to get the 99-00 bumper to fit on the 96-98 radiator support. You do NOT need to change out the radiator support.Get your hands on a 99-00 civic grille, fenders, headlights, hood, and front bumper. Try to put them on, and you will SEE where you need to cut your notches. My cousin and I recently traded a guy for his 99-00 front end, because he wanted our 96-98 front end to sell his car.
