which component system?
hey guys im planning on buying a component system, but im not too sure which one too buy. I got two in mind, the infinity kappa 6.1 or the alpine type r's?. Overall which component system do you guys prefer, im not really looking at the price, just want one with brulliant sound. Let me know which one do you prefer. :D

the kappas are a nice component system, alpine used to make nice recievers but as far as there new stuff and speakers they are middle of the pack type stuff. for amazing sound quality stuff look into focal, the polyglass v2 components are absolutely amazing and worth spending the lil extra cash on, remember the speakers will last forever if set up correct. the kappas have always been a good bang for the buck tho. if its between the 2 u listed go with the infinitys tho.

what do you think is better in terms of quality and sound between the infinity kappas and the polyglass..do they have a difference?which one do u prefer?
|
man, i used to love my infinities
I kinda miss my system.. 4 15's, but i sold out to horsepower.. Maybe im still old skewl, but i was always taught spend the cash on the amps, always go big there, and a head unit. The stang ran boston acoustics, they were awesome too  |
not sure if u made ur decision yet but the focals are definitely better sound quality over the infinities, that is if u go with the polyglass v2 or better. as far as amplification the most important thing in sound is the speaker, u can have a million dollar amp hooked up to a cheap speaker and it will sound like , but if u had a million dollar speaker hooked up to a cheap amp it will still sound amazing.

6.1s
I heard the 6.1s and they really sounded amazing, i found they were good enough for my needs and got them! :smilie_da

good good, have u installed them yet? id recomend using some dynamatt right round the speaker like a gasket. that stuff makes even stock speakers sound decent.
|
installed!
i installed them with the dynamat kit and it sounds very decent, with no rattles etc. Speakers are awesome :smilie_da
