Hey, A friend of mine offered to sell me his 12 inch Eclipse (dont know the model but I think its a 1200 watt peak) in a custom made ported box thats made for the subs specs, and an older style rockford fosgate 800T^2 amp (I believe thats the model) Everything is a few years old. I'm just wondering if $400 is a good deal, or if i should just upgrade my 2 kenwood tornados and my crappy Legacy 1000 watt 2 channel amp. I think i might be able to talk him down to $350. I plan on later building a custom box for my camaro, I have my system in my 93 Lumina right now.

pretty much any of the older stuff is light years better than todays stuff (especially from those 2 companies) the price is a tad high, but not horrible if that is the sub I think it is (aluminum cone or paper?)

It's an aluminum cone. I have heard a lot of people say that too, that the older stuff is better cause its all hand made.

that is a bad *** sub eclipse was getting them from the same company that does the jl audio stuff. the older stuff was better because the components were better built, now they are being made in korea and china with teh cheapest junk available.

I just gotta work up the money. But whats the best way to build a single sub box in a third generation camaro and still have room for the T tops.
