harman kardon

what makes those speakers so special that makes them so expensive ?

is bose or infinity the same quality ?

JordyO 11-23-2006 02:04 PM

H&K and Bose are mostly over priced because of their name.... that's about it.

Can't deny though that HK makes some of the best audio equipment around.

sweetlikechutny 11-23-2006 06:00 PM

they are both .

Very informative, thanks

Though i cant vouch personally on their car audio equipment, i am impressed with their home audio

H/K makes good home theatre receivers, other then that I wouldn't buy anything else from either companies. For anything else don't buy from these two. People say infinity is good for speakers, but they are not!!! They are just expensive, and for the same price you can get a much better product.

sammi_s 11-23-2006 07:42 PM

Bose is better i think

Bose, for car is crap, Infinity is made by H&K. You pay for quality, I'm not saying it's the best but it is a quality product. H&K engineer their speakers and develop new things so you pay for that stuff.

Bose for home is crap as well.

i have harmon kardon speakers on my laptop...
the quality is okay for songs, no real bass effect, but during gaming its pretty good. better than other laptop speakers, don't know if the car version is a powerful version of these... if so, not okay, but not worth it for the price

civic95 11-27-2006 03:18 AM

bose are the best speakers around... they spend 100 percent of profit on improvin their speakers

I think alot of people would tend to disagree with that statement.
For Home Check out B&W or Cambridge Audio, Your jaw will drop if you think that Bose are the best of the Best.

HK & Infinity are decent speakers, but it all depends on what kind of speakers. HK & Infinity are Decent 6X9 and 4X5 Speakers, but not woofers. JBL Gold and Pyramid made Decent Subs, but their Tweeters Blow.

it is all a personal preference and a Spending limit.

No they are not.

hacker_720 11-27-2006 12:34 PM

ya I agree H&K are nice amps for home
Infinity is good for component speakers for car
bose is nice, but a little over priced, unless you can pick up some 301's or 701's then they will blow your mind.
I think Yamaha is probably the best bang for the buck when it comes to speakers.
I have Onkyo suround speakers and I love them.

for car I would stick to JL subs, or Pionner subs.

For home Yamaha all the way for souroundsound

Or old NAD for stereo

civic95 12-11-2006 05:09 AM

bose speakers are good...

there veryy clearr....

u probably heard the bose speakers in cars that already come with itt..
those are garbage.. bose also has different models of their speakers
which are reallyy good

buh either wayy i would never buy emm to overpricedd..

if u want good speakers i would rather go for pioneer ... there not the besttt buh there not that expensive either ...
