You'll need to buy a kit for it. They're really cheap and can be had from Wal-Mart or any electronics store.

wiring harness + wal mart.

welcome

YellowIroc 05-13-2006 10:51 AM

I understand about the wiring harnesses from wal mart but are they only for if you still have the original wiring harness...? which i do not all i have is when you look into where my cd player would go you see a bunch of wires with tape on the ends of them...

paarman97maro 05-13-2006 12:30 PM

yeah then you need a wiring harness... this will be a connector that goes into your head unit, with cut wires out the other end to connect to the wires in your car. just make sure you get one for the right model of stereo, and year/make for your car.

are the wires color coated.? so i know which wires go where?

FamousZ 05-13-2006 01:57 PM

On the kits they have a diagram for which wires go with which.. I know when I did mine and my friends the wires were all the same color.. But they arnt always so you have to be carefull and make sure you are doing it right..

or just cut the plug (which you may not even have anyway) and wire it up www.the12volt.com has a diagram for what wire is what

What he is saying is he dont have the factory plugs connected to the factory wires in his vehicle...either go to the junk yard and cut the wirres from a car like yours and attach or just fool with the wires and HU you will eventually get it hooked up.
