Installing Aftermarket cd player?
Hey guys im new to the forum as well as a new owner of a red 94 z28 6speed with borla exhaust, ram air, hypertech programming, and throttle body!
The stock cd player is the premium delco bose variety. I have installed after market players before, but dont know if the adapter best buy provided me will allow the head unit to utilize the factory bose amplifier/sub, and speakers properly? They said I shouldnt have a problem, but if the sub dosent turn on I may need to run a wire to turn on the sub amp from the headunit? how does that work? Anyone who has installed a player in a 93-96 camaro, your info would be appreciated! thanks. |
there is a bose harness that worst buy does not sell, some guys have not had any issues other than running the remote wire, but I prefer the correct parts for the job

i have installed two in my camaro i haven't had a problem but my hookup was from crutchfield not best buy

Hey thanks for the help guys! What ended up working was I used the scosche adapter I got for my car. Then I wired everything up accordingly and attached my headunit's amp power lead wire to the dimmer wire on the harness and then connected it to the factory harness. Everything worked and i get to use the factory bose sub too! its not much, but all I needed! After I get my taillights installed I will post some pics! I also installed a pro 5.0 shifter after the radio as well! It kicks ***! Highly reccomended.

hows clarity doing anyway arch??
cant u give us orders per day or month or something always kinda wonderd |
right now it's sucking. Google kind of screwed me hiding froogle (my site hits dropped by 200 a day when it got hidden) so it doesn't pay for itself. Orders vary greatly from month to month, before the froogle fiasco I was doing about 5 orders a day, now it's down to about 1 a day or so
