JBL 2 Ohm Speakers

I came across some speakers that should match anyones stereo system that have the 2 Ohm speakers installed in their Camaro and thought I might see if anyone bought them or may know if their good or not. JBL now makes 2 Ohm speakers that are 6.5 inch model number GTO627 and GTO637 and they also have a Component Set as well model number GTO607C.

you probably would need to re wire the car though.

I found out that my stock speakers were originally 2 Ohm when I replaced them with pioneer speakers. I wish I knew what I did now since the Pioneer speakers were 4 Ohm and they only lasted about a year before they blew out. I figure that the JBL GTO series should work with the setup I currently have so I wouldn't have to rewire, and since the stock system amp as well as the Monsoon systems puts out 2 Ohms to the 6.5 speakers in the doors and the sail panels. I know it may sound a bit confusing but I'm hoping that the JBL speakers would last longer than what I have tried already. Here's the set I found at Best Buy and I was able to hear how loud they go too.

I just put Infinity Kappa 62.7i's in my doors, OMG, they are awesome! Hit pretty hard, and highs are so crisp and clear its amazing! They are also 2ohm's, one of the very few that are. Might want to check them out.

Thanks sman! I didn't know Infinity made 2 ohm speakers as well. It's about time we have more options than just using the stock 2 Ohm speakers for our cars. I can't believe the price of those on the futureshop.ca site cost almost double the amount of the speakers I found. I bet they sound better then those JBL speakers do.

the infinity kappas are the best replacements as far as oem.

There is like a 2% off cupon from finding the link from google, it only works once, so if it doesnt work for you, search google for "hookedontronics kappa 62.7i", it should be like the first result, then hooked on tronics should pop up and say heres cupon for finding us from google!
