Lighting and HID

Ok , so here is my situation, i bought the hid kit with the ballast and it didnt work well so i am returning it, anyways i was wondering , is there bulbs out there that you can get that are just hid bulbs without the ballast? or will that damage your wiring in the car because there is no ballast part? or how does this work? i would like just the hid bulbs

you can get colored blub if thats what you are after but they are not bright at call, but do a search on "heon blub " (i think thats it) heard they are pretty close to HID's but never seen the output in person so can't say much about it!

but i'll say do it right and just get the HID kit, you will like the output much better

Hey,
You cannot use HID Bulbs without a Ballast. They will not power up and work, they will just flicker and turn right off. You have to have the complete kit. I purchased my kit from Xenon Corporation at www.xenoncorporation.com and it worked perfect for me and no issues whatsoever. It just depends on where you buy the kit or what kit you buy, there are some really cheap ones out there that I wouldn't recommend. My kit was plug & play and worked flawlessly. You might want to consider running a relay harness.

colour change in the bulb

If the normal color of the HID bulb is bluish but one side is pinkish, does that mean the bulb is goin and the ballast is not able to power the bulb up or is it the ballast burning out and not being able to power the bulb??? i think its the ballast going..... |Any help will be appreciated.

thanks

you need the ballasts -- unless you want to buy the fake hid blue lights from the mall.

check my Ad for hid kits if your interested in buying one.
