I need some info on some components of a stereo. Here is the list if you have heard these, or about them. Tell me what you know.

JL - XR, VR, TR Series Speakers (Coaxial, and Component Systems)

Xtant - 10 Inch Subs (last years models)

Xtant - Amps (same I think)

I have heard of Xtant being extremely high end. I could care less though. I want to know what they are and why they are recommended by so many installers. Let me know ANYTHING!!

mmm xtant nice you want to know why they are recomended they sound great and rarely break for teh component I think there are better choices (rockford fanatic q is great and they own mb quart) diamond audio also works well with teh extant the big thing your doing is mid line for teh majority of sound and high end for a very limited range

So, Xtant Subs and Amps, are worth the extreme cost because they sound amazing? What do you know about the JL Components?

jl components sound ok but not as clear as I like they have a good mid bass but female vocals sound bad, and xtant isn't that expensive the amp I am trying to find is almost 10 years old and selling for about the same price as a new xtant

What are you trying to find? You would rather have Xtant Speakers then? (components)

the amp I want is an original lanzar opti50c or almost any zed audio one.For the speakers listen to a few with no subs at first see what you like then add a good sub using your music I prefer the hifonics speakers to jl and they are cheaper

Well there are 2 Zed Audio (HiFonics) Amps on Ebay at the moment, about $300 each. Check it out. Do a search for "Zed Audio".

I get emailed zed audio every day the last hifonics that was zed audio was made in '97 so that gets you an idea of the value

if your looking for good components for a reasonable price.. the alpine type-r 6 1/2 component sets are awesome. there are def better (ie MBQuart) but for the price they are a good deal. about $200 for a set of 6 1/2 components. i am running rockford fosgate 2004 platinum series 6 1/2 coaxials in my back seats right now with stocks up front and it sounds amazing. those coaxials are great speakers

Hey 2Poor4Z, can you get me some links and prices on those Rockford Platinum Series? Oh, by the way, it's not for my car. I have Alpine Type X Component 3 Ways in my system. Spendy but worth every penny!! Thinking about Alpine F1 Status soon!
