Over Current on Amp

Sony Xplod - XM5150GSX

Now Everything has been hooked up fine for ages. Although when i was coming home last night, the bass suddenly stopped. Not sure why. I pull over and check and the amp indicates that yes, power is good, but Overcurrent light is lit up red as well.

I checked all connections, ground ect.. Everything is fine. Suggestions!?

overcurrent is when u blow an internal amp

klown78 Jul 26, 2007 01:58 PM

not neccessarily blown the internal amp!, This can mean one of two things, It can mean that a fuse is blown on the main power wire and the voltage is insufficent! Or a speaker(s) are blown and causing it to trip, worst case scenario , like Kajenius said, it could have blown the amp!
