i dont know if all....but the new audiobahns i see like in the pic... are mounted outside...pretty much all the new ones are like that....and as far as i know they are free air....i dont know everything....so google it up...

Those subs mounted like that are not 'free air' .... this is what's known as Inverse Mounting.....

There is still a box there, but you're pointing the subs in to it rather than out.

Free air means exactly that... the subs are not in any sort of box at all. :thumbsup:

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "produce" air.... but basically, no. Inverse mounting doesn't really make the sub act any differently.

The only thing it does is allows for there to be more volume inside the box because there is no air displaced by the subs. :smilie_da
