problem need help wiht sound
ive got a jbl gto1201.1 amp, and a Audiobahn aw1206t sub, as far as i knew this one sub should be able to handle the amp power, since the amp pushes 1174 watts rms and the sub takes 1100 watts rms, but for some odd reason i smoked my sub. what can it be due to? my 0gauge wiring? problem wiht amp? or sub specs are wrong?

Probably abuse.... generally a sub will handle it's rated power plus a bit more.
Is your box ported? ... you may have been playing too far below tuning frequency.
How are your gains set? They aren't a volume control and a lot of people misuse them.
There's about 100 things that could have caused you to blow the sub.
