Yeah. I don't have the Bose system so I don't think it will be an issue. Im getting a new amp and door speakers anyway, to go along with the Alpine W505 and Alpine Nav. When I'm done the only thing factory that will be left is the display. It should be done next Thursday so I'll keep you posted.
And I am on CadillacForums. I love that site.

Finally got part of my system in. Here goes....
Alpine W-505
Alpine NVE-N872A navigation
Alpine SPX-17Pro front speakers
MTX-TE604 600 Watt 4 ch amp
Soud damping in the doors
**Subs and sub amp to come soon**
Also.....E&G Dual weave mesh grille (upper and lower)
CompuStar 2-Way Remote Paging/Remote Start alarm with a 1 mile range (so don't even think about it
Here are some oics of the custom work The had to cut the motherboard of the trip computer and rewire it to work without the factory unit.

Good call on the GPS pic. I didn't even think of that. The Jag is a '98 XJ8 L. It's starting to fall apart though.
I paid $6300 for everything. Sounds like a lot, but considering all the equipment (nav, head unit, amp, speakers, wiring, and top of the line RCA's, sound damping, Sirius w/ traffic data) I think it was reasonable.
Labor only was $1285 for the whole job. They charged me $250 to cut into the factory computer and make it work after the new deck was installed, and then $250 to actually install the deck. They followed the instructions on the link I sent earlier. It took them a whole day to do that and he said if he knew what he was getting into before hand, he would have charged $750. Everything works great though. Still have my MPG, tire pressure, outside temp, etc.
I got it done at The Sound Choice here in Portland. Awesome place. Check out their web site and some of their installs.

Can't wait to get my subs in. Probably in a couple months.
